My name is Cara Appleton and I have volunteered to write this testimonial regarding Sydney Building Repairs.

Earlier this year, my husband and I purchased our first home; an older house in the suburbs that needed quite extensive cosmetic renovation. I first came across Sydney Building Repairs in the search for an expert to make some repairs to the piers beneath the home. Upon meeting Joe Alexander, we were not only thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and extensive qualifications, but also with his friendly but professional approach. The work was completed quickly and with obvious attention to detail, which subsequently led us to utilise the services of Sydney Building Repairs for making changes to an internal wall.

From here, as can happen during a renovation, we uncovered a number of ‘surprises’ in the house, including an extremely poorly constructed sub-floor in our kitchen and rotting walls behind the then current tiles in the bathroom. As first home-buyers with the birth of our first child imminent, it was crucial that we kept to a budget so my husband was doing much of the work himself. Joe Alexander and the team from Sydney Building Repairs enthusiastically welcomed a barrage of questions that my husband put forward about how best to tackle these obstacles. They were always on hand with sensible advice that allowed us to stay within our budget.

It soon became obvious that we needed an expert, as the job was becoming somewhat overwhelming in terms of the level of expertise required and also the investment of time. By the time our house was completed, Sydney Building Repairs had been responsible for the following work:

• Repairs to pier-work and sub-floor ventilation
